the joy of childhood

i decided to take a stroll to jurong point after dinner just now to rent some vcds and i must say that on the way there and back i actually felt cold for the first time! what is happening to the weather these few days??

well i haven't been doing anything productive this week and my parents are begining to nag about that. did a couple of work outs, swims, sun tanning, checking out books at kino, window shopping with boren and of course going down for trainings. finally, im done with packing and cleaning up my room, except for getting the few furniture i want from ikea. my dad's been asking me to go sign up for courses to acquire some new skills during the holidays and not rot at home. submitted my application for my powerboating license and yeah, guess i wouldn't mind anything else with company around. anyone has anything in mind? =) boren and i are gonna try out baking cookies and brownies next week! if they turn out good... well you know what you can expect for christmas this year. hahaha, but dont worry we'll make sure they're up to standard before letting you guys to try them! =)

hmmm... just a couple of weeks back, a group of us decided to undergo a project to help out our primary school red cross link unit. i've been thinking alot about this lately, about the time, commitment, training, etc towards it. i believe not only will assisting them be beneficial to both units, fmssrcy and fmps rcy link, but also to us as individuals. after having been trained as a cadet and training cadets in the teenage age for 2-4 years, i have to admit it'll be a challenge for us now to switch our ways in teaching these little ones. methods such as tekaning, corporal punishment, scolding and many other high expectations will no longer be useful towards these kids. but still, if theres a will, theres a way. though not an easy task this project will be, i took it up believing that as much as i'll be able to share my knowledge and passion for redcross with these kids, so too will i be able to learn and experience from these little ones about our long lost worry-free and joyful childhood we all once had but lost as soon as growing up took place.

and the party begins

WOAH. Os are gone just like that. hallelujah! wahaha.

but frankly you know, its not easy changing from the lifestyle i used to had. mug mug mug. and now its slack slack slack. hah. everyone may be having fun right now. but you gotta admit it when i say things will end up getting extremely boring very soon. hahas. and i am starting to feel the boredom already. i hope it wont come a point when i have to follow my mom for facial or yoga sessions because im literally dying from boredom at home! well for a start, i've been doing serious packing and cleaning up of my room. HAH. and i never realised it can be so exhausting! emptied out tonns of trash and worksheets that had been piling up since sec1. and awww... i can finally breathe now in my clean and dust-free room :) gonna look for some paint and furniture at ikea to do up my room during the next couple of days. hehe. the weather has been particularly cool these days. perfect for sleeping! but nolah. thats bad cause im really waiting for the sun to come out so i can go for my swim! and yes, footdrill training is only effective when theres a hot sun! hahas. but honestly i like the weather the way it is now. will it ever snow here? :)

LAST PAPER

was wondering how my bottle of facial soap ran out so fast within a week and why my bathroom floor was always so soapy. and today i found out thats cause the bottle had a hole in it! urghh. thinking of that, questions came to my mind. what is the rate at which the soap leaks out of its bottle? how is the soap able to leak out of its bottle? why is the soap soapy? amaths, physics, chem... uurgghh! yesh, that were the only things my whole mind was filled with for the past 2 weeks >.<

but thank God, everythings over now... 'SIGH'. somehow i really want to go somewhere to scream, cry and let everything out. all thats been inside of me. the stress, anger, frustation, tiredness.. haha, okay. i shall not get too emotional here. today's the last paper - history. for a start, well maybe i don't really hold very high expectations for myself when it comes to studies. i think most importantly was that i did do my best, and theres nothing to regret. and im sure thats what my parents would ask of me. so... i can say im rather pleased with the papers so far (:

yeah, i've finally decided what i'm gonna do after the papers. hahas. no, im not going out to wreck havoc. but im just going to be a good boy and go home to pack my room, get rid of all the books! (or maybe i shouldnt incase i retain. TOUCH WOOD. i sure hope not. hahahas ) then i'll go to church to give thanks for all thats happened during the past two weeks, and then its off to chill with my buds! unfortunately harry potter's all sold out. all alina's fault for buying so many tickets and leaving none for me!!! grrr. WATCH OUT.

just a week to go

thank goodness, the weekends are just what i need right now. spent most of the weekend studying and at church. attended gwen's confirmation mass at holy cross today. though it was pretty long, but then i still thought we should put God above everything else and so, since somethings are more important than studies, i decided to take time off the books and attend the mass. congrats to gwen, brian, marcus, chartel and recardo on receiving the holy spirit! i pray that you guys will use this gift well and continue walking in the way of Christ and to be a light for Him :) so as much as i had a great time there, it also gave me an opportunity to remember and renew the vows i've made for my own confi. praise God!

mann.. 6 papers to go, and its all over, OVER! and then... back to redcross meetings.

like finally. Os are here! the past few papers have been alright. stress level not yet at his peak as my papers happen to fall on alternate days, so theres more time to study, and the killer papers are only nexk week! i just hope it wont get any worst than it is now. somehow i've been thinking more about what i'm gonna do after the exams instead of concentrating on the papers themselves. heh heh. so... ok, please keep the prayers coming in for us all, especially those taking their As too, you're not forgotten.

another day at essential brew

talk about going to bed early, and theres matches on tonight! or these few days rather. how leh? today's deepavali and thursday's gonna be hari raya. public holiday or not, doesn't seem much of a diff to us muggers. spent the day going for tuition and the rest of it at holland v's essential brew. if you havent been there, well its this really cosy and comfy restaurant with low tables and you have to sit on the floor. not to worry, there are cushions and pillows provided! highly recommended for a late night chill out or pleasurable reading. studying... er, not so much lah. cause once it gets too comfortable you most probably will end up falling asleep and drooling on the nice cushions... just like i did. hahas, nonetheless i did managed to finish reading the whole of twelfth night :)

happy halloween

its way past morning and im still feeling high. must be due to the gym session i had earlier. ever since all the studying began, so did the munching. hah, and i have obviously grown fatter. see, thats the bad thing about not going to school. you get to gain the calories and rot at home. urgh, with all the halloween celebrations going on tonight, its a good night to be out partying. unfortunately for the exams, i'll be home for the next 2 weeks without a life. so you non sec4 people out there please spare a thought for me and don't tell me how you're enjoying your holidays alright? hahas, don't forget your turn will be soon. ok, well that also means i should be getting my biological clock adjusted back to proper working form before next monday.

ah yesh, how can i forget. happy 16th birthday to melvin! thought i would forget eh? as promised the harry potter treat's on me after the last paper yah? :)

new toy

ok, due to the many requests to remove the sad video clip, i have finally done that. those who want the video can always get it from me on msn or the mp3 format from boren =) so... nothing much been happening the past few days. well, of course that chelsea trashed real betis 4-0 last tuesday! hah, havent caught such a good match for such a long time. we'll be looking forward to more great matches eh?

finally, after so long mom agreed to get me a new guit last friday. yeah i got an FX 310 electric acoustic guit. came along with a mini amp. sweet. just a little something to keep me occuppied this study season. and boy, am i counting down to christmas =) 61 days to be exact. but then again, its 14 days to Os... sighh.

rainy sunday

its a sunday and looking out my window, its been pouring since morning. wahh, what a perfect day to spend the rest of it sleeping haha. dad left for europe this morning so the house will be peaceful for sometime. haha, no i dont mean in a bad way but just that he enjoys irritating us when hes at home. haha. and yes, speaking of that, he woke us up at 4 this morning to tell us the hamsters were missing! and made my bro and i to find them! so far we only found 4 out of 6 :( oh well, like my bro said, stupid hamsters. got food and water provided they wana run away and go find the pussycat. if knew they wanted to run away should have sold them off and make some money earlier. ggrrr...

so school holidays have started. okok, or rather, STUDY LEAVE. no plans at the moment, except just to mug, mug and mug. sighh. looking on the bright side, i can get more sleep! wahaha. yeahh and thanks to someone's influence im now hooked onto korean movies and music. nolah dont get the wrong idea i dont watch them cause of the cute korean guys that many girls would claim are. (cause i know im still the cutest :] ) but ok lah, some story lines are nice, though most of it ends with someone dying. but im a sadist remember? heh heh.

farewell fairfield

yeah, school's offically ended for me yesterday. i must say that yesterday was one of the most fun yet saddest day... well ok, simply to put it, it was memorable. though unexpectedly somethings happened, but nonetheless im sure as a class we enjoyed the little sing along session led by loke right? thanks for that moment guys, i'll never forget it :) hmm, i never expected it to be that emotional nor would i break down, but eventually i did. anyways, i just wana say a really BIG thank you to all those who have made my 10years in fairfield so special and meaningful, you know who you are. especially my pals of sec 1F, 2D, 3C and 4C, thanks for adding all the crappiness and lameness into everyday lessons. you sure made them fun. and of course those being ever ready to help me with my work, problems and influencing me positively, again you guys know who you are, im truely grateful for having you around :) well... so the list just goes on and on...

do remember our 4C reunion in 10 years time! yeahh, we'll bring our kids, husbands and wives along! hahaha. God bless, until we meet again.

once again the weekends are here. well that simply means the Os are drawing closer! that can be a good or bad thing too lar yah. somehow i feel my biological clock is now upset cause of the crazy marathons the past nights but, oh wells... we did survive. haha.

this week is gonna be the last week of school. yeah as in the ' lastest last' before we all break off and only see each other during the actual Os. wahh. how time flies. 10 years in fairfield comes to an end. im starting to miss everything there is in school. the redcross room (used to be my hostel before the sec3s took over and messed it up haha) ... the pa sound room (where i get my extra naps)... the nasi lemak, the tuesdays hor fan... and how can i forget, MISS ELAINE LIM. wahaha. and yes lah, everyone including YOU reading this now :)

sometimes the thought of how fast life moves really scares me. so much to do, so little time... and somethings are just beyond our control... sighh.

its late into the night and its pouring outside. sounds like an ideal time to sleep, but unfortunately that's not gonna happen. damn, still stuck with a paper of amaths to go before i knock off. spending tonight at macs for another marathon with kevin. we stopped at 6am the previous time, so lets hope we can study till 10am this time. ha ha ha.

i ate nasi lemak for recess yesterday and guess what happened. an ikan bilis pierced the top of my gums and it got stuck there! duhh it hurt damn bad. it was only much later that i got it removed. wahh, now i can feel a hole there.

ok, have actually worked out a 'timetable' and a list of work to be done each day if im gonna complete my revision before the 0s. 2 past yr papers of amaths, 1 tys chapter of emaths and 3 tys chapters of physics a day! started since monday and wahh... it shagged the brains out of me. damn.. 30 more days. MUST PERSEVERE!

my teacher said this to us today, "for afew of you (she reads out abt 5 names), you should be getting your A1s, the second bunch of you (she reads abt 10 names), you should really work harder to get your As. as for the rest of you, make sure you aim to pass."

hmmm, is it just me or is it that our teacher doesn't believe in us? boy... whatever it is, im more than determine to challenge her now. HELL YEAH.

well for once, the prelims are over. results were crap. ok, i mean really crap like you've never seen before. enough of being depressed over them. its time to move on and really chiong towards the Os now. 1 month + afew days then i'll be free! muahaha.

[ lesson learnt ]

my parents left for Shanghai last night. after such a long time they finally decided to take a good break and to visit my relatives there. so before they come back with all the cheap goods and pirated dvds, my bro and i are in charge of the house. heh heh. well im just glad they're able to get away from their endless work and go for a nice holiday together without my bro and me.

for some reason i decided to visit a flowershop (or whatever you call a shop that sells flowers). i went in, began looking around for something nice but well, you should know im the type that knows nuts about flowers. so i decided to get help from the store assistant. said i wanted to get a small bouquet for some friends. preferbly bright coloured ones. he showed me some already arranged ones in the fridge but i asked what about the others (the ones they always sold in stalks and displayed in the open). he gave a huge stare and asked me, "Are you Singaporean??" and i was thinking what the heck did i say wrong? then he told me those are usually used for cemeteries. -__-! mann... i never knew. but its a good thing i do now. if not i might have ended up buying them all as teachers' day presents. LOL. well in the end i did managed to find something that looked rather nice. not the ones for cemetries of course! but i hope the ones receving it would like it. its a gift from kevin and me.
